Mr. Sunburn was the most kindest, caring teacher I ever had. He wanted not just his students but all to graduate and make something out of themselves. Earth has lost an angel that God welcomed home🥀

I was lucky enough to have Mr Sunbury for 3 years as my marketing teacher and DECA coach. He passed a lot of knowledge and values on to so many of his students over the years and will be missed in this small community. C/O 98'

Mr. Sunbury and I had been friends since I began teaching at CHS in 2001. As our friendship grew, our conversations stopped being about college basketball and began centering around our favorite TV show, The Big Bang Theory. He always knew whether a rerun or new show would air each week. I'll miss my friend. Bazinga, Mr. Sunbury! I'm so glad you were my friend.

Thanks for teaching me lessons that I have used over and over in my life. Not only book lesson but life lessons. I wish I'd have contacted a month back. Thanks for being a great friend and mento even after leaving Central. Rest Easy my friend.

My heart is broken. I worked as a Marketing teacher/DECA Advisor for 18 years in Lynchburg, having the privilege to goof off (work) with George several times a year. He was so kind, humorous and fun-loving. Loved to talk football with him! George reminded me a lot of my own father that passed too soon. He loved Central High School and his community. I know he will be greatly missed. Thank you for being a friend, George.

George was a great help to us at Kenbridge Supply (ACE) in supplying us some of his great students to work in our store. They later graduated and when on to further there education and jobs they had been trained to do. He was a kind and dedicated teacher.

George worked with his students and we at Kenbridge Supply (ACE) were fortunate to have some of these students work for us. He was most kind to everyone.

I was so very sorry to learn of George's passing. I went to Salem College with him and will always remember his quiet kindness. He really was a very nice fellow.
