I know I haven't been around in a long time but I never stopped thinkig about our family. I'm so glad I was able to see PAPA again💓 Visiting him was sad but also a happy moment. Once PAPA realized who I was he started getting emotional and saying he was proud of Me and my accomplishments. This is the memory I'd like to remember. I'm deeply saddened by his passing but I'm glad he's no longer in pain. I will always love you papa and I know you are watching over all of us now!

My deepest sympathies to all of Rocco's family♥️ I remember Rocco with very fond memories, in my childhood he was a staple of the community. The fondest memory is him playing Santa. The excitement we all use to get when we seen him walk up our walkway, priceless. May you Rest in Paradise.

You were the best grandpa anyone could've ever asked for. I can't thank you enough for the impact you've made on my life and others. I will never forget the memories I have with you and we will be sure to tell Darci all about those memories and about you one day. Your service was beautiful yesterday. I wish you were still here with us and wish there was more time with you but we're thankful for the memories we do get to hold on to. Just know that we're all going to be okay. Heartbroken but okay. You will never be forgotten. We love you so much. May you finally Rest In Peace. Xoxo.

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Rocco F Rotondo, 64, of Burkeville VA. on September 8, 2021 after a very long illness. He was a resident at Wellsprings Nursing & Rehabilition Center in Amelia.

Rocco was a devoted husband as well as a beloved Dad, Grandpa and friend to all he met.

Born in Newark, NJ to Patricia Rotondo and the late Francis Rocco Rotondo. Rocco was one of ten children and grew up in the Middletown area before settling in Virginia in 1987.

Prior to moving to VA, Rocco ran his towing business, Rocco's Towing and enjoyed working on cars. Rocco was also very involved in his community in various roles including Rescue Squad/First Aid, East Keansburg Volunteer fire dept, A Middletown Police Reserve Officer and worked his way up to Eagle Scout. However, his favorite role was always spreading Christmas cheer as Santa Claus.

Rocco continued to work on various automotive & recycling projects when he was well enough to.

The simplest pleasures in life brought him the greatest joy. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit and never knowing a stranger. Spending time with his family & grandchildren is what he enjoyed most of all.

Rocco is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sharon Sigler Rotondo, Mother Patricia Rotondo,  Children Margaret Gale (Keith),  Kimberly Leonard (Jason), John Rotondo (Casynda), Rocco Rotondo Jr (Crystal) & Anthony Rotondo (Symphony) Nine siblings, numerous grandchildren, a great grand child and many loving neices & nephews. He is preceded in death by one grandchild.

Family will receive friends & loved ones (Saturday Sept. 11, 2021 from 4-7pm) at The Quality Inn Burkeville, VA

In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations, in memory of Rocco Rotondo,  to Clarke Funeral Home, P.O. Box 404, Kenbridge, VA 23944 to help with expenses.
