    Joe was a extraordinary man. He was one of a kind. He never met a stranger, loved to talk and joke about anything. He was the kind of guy you would meet for the first time and walk away with a friend for life. He would give and do anything for you. My young kids never met him, but knew him as Uncle Joe. I had the privilege of working closely with Joe the past couple years at West Fraser and I speak for everyone there, Joe will be greatly missed. Love you Uncle Joe

    One of God's gifts, one who I knew as my very best childhood friend, Edward Moore, now having gone to his heavenly reward, gives us all one more reason to make heaven our eternal home! I pray the comfort that only God can give overwhelms you Patricia & your family!

    A true workman of his talent,we worked together at Georgia pacific,I hated it when I heard what happen I oiled it,he fixed it,he will be missed but GOD has a great man,love to family

    I was saddened to get the news of another coworker from the former GP Skippers for many years has passed. Joe "Bubba" was on point with his craft. If he couldn't fix it it wasn't broke. Rest well my friend. Prayers for the family.

    We are truly saddened by the passing of Joe. We grew up together and saw our families grow together. Gordon and Joe loved sports and played football and basketball thru out school together. Joe was greatly loved by all.

    Joe was a good guy .I work with Joe for over 25 years at GP .we spent a many nights there working in the cold and snow

    Joseph Edward Moore, 65, of Kenbridge, Va. joined his family in Heaven on Dec. 21, 2021. He was the son of the late Joseph Lee Moore and Ivaline Pennington Moore. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Patricia Gregory Moore; his son Matthew E. Moore (Amanda) of Maryland; his daughter, Katherine M. Bollinger (Timothy) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Sara Bollinger, Jodi Moore, Kelsie Moore, Tobias Moore and Elias Bollinger; sister-in-law Donna Mason and her husband Denny who Joe thought of as a brother; best friends, Ronnie and Tricia Long, Sammy and Linda Snead and John and Susan Tragesser; furry companions, Sammy, Sophie, Rudy and Ramsey; cousins and many friends. Joe was a 1974 graduate of Central High School. He was a millwright and he enjoyed tennis and hunting in his younger years, going to the lake, taking pictures and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was a faithful and devoted member of Kenbridge Christian Church where memorial services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Kenbridge Christian Church, C/O Rev. Cameron Bailey, 38 Hill Top Rd, Kenbridge, Va. 23944.
