    I remember walking from my uncles to her house and she was always so nice and sweet and a loving person sorry for y'all lost prayers for yall

    I'm so sorry we couldn't be there.. I'm going to miss you so much, Meme. I know we lost touch over the last couple of years but you've always been my favorite Aunt. Tell Papa, Nanny and Uncle Dennis how much they're loved and missed down here too. Until we meet again, I love you.

    So very sad to hear of Mary's passing. Glad I had good times and memories to share of her. Will miss her laugh and smile. Rest In Peace Mary, hope you know you were loved.

    Mary Hancock Atkins, 63, of Kenbridge, Va. joined her family in Heaven on February 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Douglas Atkins and a brother, Calvin Dennis Hancock. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Loftis (Lee) and Barbara Dorton (Gary); her son, Douglas “Dink” Atkins (Jessica); four grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Kyra Dorton, Dakota Atkins and Levi Atkins; two brothers, Harold Hancock and Gary Hancock; one sister Wilma R. Townsend. Mary loved cooking, flowers, religious programs on television, going visiting and spending time with her family. The family will receive friends at the Clarke

    Funeral Home in Kenbridge on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 1PM until time of services at 2PM.  In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Light of Hope Baptist Church, Highway 40, Blackstone, Va. 23924 Online condolences may be made at www.clarkefh.com
