I grieve with the family in the loss of Mike. I've worked him off and on over the past 25 years. He made our jobs enjoyable. He spoke of his family highly and loved his wife unconditionally. We had good conversation over the years, he was saved, his heart was right with Jesus. One day I'll shake his hand again. With deepest Love and and Sympathy to the Family, WTA

so very sorry to hear about your loss! When I saw that Mike graduated Highland Springs in 1981, I reached out to one of my W&M fraternity brothers, Dennis Thacker. He is among many of us shocked and saddened. Dennis played football with Mike for the Springers. Just wanted to let you know that a whole lot of people are thinking of y'all...very sorry.

Amanda and Family, We are so saddened to hear of Fred's and now Michael's sudden departures from this earth. We know that Jesus holds them both close and knows that it will take us time to process their absence. As Jesus cried at Lazarus death, He understands our heartache and pain that seperation of death can bring. His death on the cross and ressurection gave to all of us who believe the victory over sin and death. We will continue to lift you, your sweet children and your dear family up during this time. May you feel the arms of Jesus holding you, and His love through others who are standing by your side. We extend our deepest sympathy and love. Penny and Stanley Hare

I am so sorry. Words can't express how saddened I am to hear of the sudden passing of Mike. We met at VCU, he was easy to become friends with and we spent a lot of our time together on the Rugby pitch. He always had a way to make you laugh & smile. Unfortunately I couldn't make it down from NY for the funeral services, but I just want Mike's family to know you are in my thoughts & prayers. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on your loss. My heart goes out to you. RIP my friend🙏🏻
